How to have a lovely weekend

1. Shop
2. Eat (duh)
3. Spend time with someone you love

I did tons of these things Friday-Sunday.  My mom came up so we could have 1 last Dallas weekend before the move.  In the span of 2 days we went to 2 Targets, 3 Home Goods, Hobby Lobby, Ikea, TJ Maxx, Pier One, and 80 bajillion restaurants!  Whew!  Mom was tons of help finding stuff for the new house (Michigan his white-bachelor pad walls are in TROUBLE).  I could have sworn we bought so many pillows, crosses, picture frames, and more knick-knacks but when we got home and laid it out, it looked like we only bought 4 things.  I have to keep reminding myself that it takes time to decorate and that nobody just moves into a house and has it just the way they want it right away.
Love my new throw pillows from Home Goods and Hob-Lob
All courtesy of Hobby Lobby.  I'm a SUCKER for anything monogramed.
Found this (and 8 other) cute head baubles at Charming Charlie.

Between our shopping extravaganzas, we ate.  And ate.  And ate.
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

French Silk Chocolate Pie on a pretzel crust!  Oh. My. Gaaawwwwwdddd!  So good!

Oddfellows-BEST Bloody Mary in Dallas!

Salted Carmel and Dark Chocolate gelato!

I also took my mom to get her first blow-out and we went to see a friend of mine in a play.  We had such a great weekend and really got to spend a lot of quality time together.  Reality is starting to set in that I won't be a short plane ride from my family anymore......sad face.

What did you do?
