Tattoos and Song Lyrics

If someone paid you a million dollars to get a song lyric tattooed on your body, what song lyric would you choose and where would you get the tattoo?

Oh the things we see on Facebook.  I saw this question floating around my news feed last week and thought it was fun.  I personally don't have any tattoos (you're welcome Mom) but I have always thought about getting one. I have always wanted a small bird on my wrist but I can never make myself pull the trigger.

Now if someone was offering me a million dollars to get a tattoo you can bet I'd be in that chair faster than anything!

I've thought long and hard about what song lyric I would choose. I LOVE music and have several songs that mean a lot to me.  However, there is 1 song that I am most loyal to. I have loved this song for as long as I can remember. One summer in college I worked in a karaoke bar back home and I made fast friends with the DJ. Anytime I'd come home to visit and I'd walk into the bar, the DJ would instantly play this song (he also played I Like Big Butts by Sir Mixalot when I was there but that was a whole different story)! This song always puts a smile on my face and if it's playing at a wedding or a bar, I'm the first one on the dance floor.
I mean how can you NOT like this song?!?!

That answers the song part of the question but what about the where part?

I think if I had to get a whole lyric then I would put "Don't Stop Believing" along the instep of my foot. If I could just get 1 word then I would put believe in small letters on my rib cage.

What about yall?  What song lyric and what body part would you choose?

  3. I love this song! It was the last one played at our wedding... being from Michigan, everyone always goes crazy over the "born and raised in South Detroit" line, haha!

I have a butterfly on my upper right shoulder blade that I got when I turned 18. I want another tattoo on my inner wrist.

  5. Oh, good question! That would take some thought…maybe a lyric from our wedding song? It's Tim McGraw and Failt Hill, "It's Your Love!"
