Weekending: St Pattys Weekend

Oh lordy what a weekend!  This one will be short but sweet!

Saturday started early when I met several of my coworkers on Greenville Avenue to get the day started.  I may have had a beer in my hand by 10:30am.  Sadly most of the day was too busy and crazy to get many pictures but I managed to get a couple.

I ran into this little cutie first thing in the morning.  She was actually one of my students when I was a high school teacher and now she's a good friend of mine.

These 2 amazing people are my bosses!  You can see behind us how many people started to accumulate on the rooftop!

I managed to find this pic online today but what's crazy is that it's taken from the same rooftop that I was on all day.  So. Many. Freaking. People.

Needless to say I spend Sunday enjoying my couch and Netflix.  Such a fun weekend but holy moly I need a vacation after that one!

Hope yall had a great weekend!  Linking up with Biana today!

Don't Be THAT Person

Imagine this: you worked all day long and are exhausted but you paid $30 to take your favorite fitness class tonight.  You have on your favorite workout outfit and you get to class a few minutes early, claim your space and set up your equipment.  Your favorite instructor walks in and is about to start class when a whirlwind of a hot mess comes in and has NO idea what's going on!  We've all seen it, those people that just don't have a clue how to behave in a fitness setting.  Today I'm going to share the top three ways to avoid being that whirlwind of a hot mess.

1. Be early, not on time...

and definitely NOT late.  Keep in mind that every fitness studio you go to will probably have paperwork to fill out.  Try to remember the rule "If you're 10 minutes early, you're on time.  If you're on time, you're late." If you are rushing in at the last minute not only are you completely annoying the instructor and your classmates but you may not be giving yourself the time you may need to grab any equipment (free weights, resistance bands, etc) and you may miss the warm-up.

2. Zip it

I love to go to classes with my friends.  They provide motivation when you need it and there's just something to be said for knowing that someone else is suffering through those 90 second planks just as mush as you are.  However, a class is NOT the time to chit chat.  I have zero tolerance for this and have been known to stand right in between 2 of my barre clients to get them to zip it.  You paid a lot of money to be there and take the class so focus on yourself and not whatever you and your friends are doing that weekend.

3. Know your place

Unless the class is completely full spread out and give everyone some room.  There is nothing like getting your perfect spot in a class and having someone set up literally right next to you.  Unless you are a REALLY hot guy that is going to ask me out afterwards then by all means set up as close as you want :)

Bikini Body Recipes Part 2

Holy cow sorry for the radio silence yesterday.  I am definitely feeling that time change for sure!
A few weeks ago I shared some bikini body recipes and I am back for more!  Yall know my motto on eating healthy, it HAS to taste good.  I don't care how healthy a grilled chicken breast and a side of broccoli is, if there's not some kind of seasoning on both, I want nothing to do with it.  BORING!
So here are a few more recipes for that bikini body!

Mango, bell pepper and edamame?  Sign me up!  Plus how pretty does that look?

Hungry Girl Broccoli Slaw

I have loved every Hungry Girl recipe I've ever tried and I'm sure this one won't let me down.

Spaghetti Squash Mac and Cheese

I'm REALLY hoping that this is as good as it looks!

One of my favorite summer fruits is pineapple and adding it to a salad sounds like a fabulous idea!
