Friday started with another amazing workout from Beyond 500 even though I swear our instructor Elissa was trying to kill me! Holy lower body workout. Friday night was pretty low key, just a couple of drinks with friends and I took 0 pictures. #bloggerfail
I spent most of Saturday being a bum until it was time to get ready for the big night. With my new job I was given the opportunity to attend the 38th annual Margarita Ball downtown. I have heard about this event for years and always wanted to go so I was very excited. Basically it's like adult prom on steroids. The ball takes over 3 floors of a hotel and there are bands and DJs playing all kinds of different music. As much as I wanted to walk around and see it all it was way too crowded. I found my way into the VIP room and enjoyed free drinks and the most entertaining people watching for most of the night. I did manage to get a few pictures but unfortunately I didn't get a full length one of my dress.
The ball was a blast and being that it was a "networking event" for me, it's safe to say I think I'm really going to love this job!
Sunday I finally got to use my new Kitchen-aid mixer but unfortunately it wasn't for anything super exciting. I needed to shred chicken and remembered reading that it was super easy to do if you threw it in the mixer with the flat attachment. It totally worked!
What was the shredded chicken for you ask? I'll be back tomorrow to share an old family recipe!
I ended the night going to see Mockingjay and I loved every single second! I was so excited to see where they would end this first movie and I loved how they did it. If you haven't read the books I don't know how you'll wait until the next movie comes out!
All in all I'd say it was a pretty fantastic weekend!

glad you had such a great time! i dont have a kitchenaid mixer but i do shred chicken with forks, super easy once its been cooked in the crockpot... which i only just discovered lol. can't wait for your recipe tomorrow :)
