Weekending: Moving and Shopping and Decorating. Oh My!

Wow!  My last weekend as a lady of leisure.  I have to say, being unemployed for over a month definitely had it's pros but in the end I am SOOOOO glad to get back on a routine.  Today is day 1 of the new job so wish me luck!  Linking up with my favorite Boston Lady today!

I showed yall my DIY bar stools on Friday.  I ended up grabbing a can of metallic gold spray paint and re-doing them.  I'm in love with the final result!

You can't see them until you're sitting in my living room and they are such a great gold accent.

This weekend revolved around the apartment. My mom came in town to help me get a little more settled and we shopped til we literally dropped Saturday.  Our main goal was to find curtains but that was a big fat flop!  Apparently no one sells 120" curtains in store except Ikea and their selection was either pinstripe or velvet.  I did manage to end up with a rug, a doormat, a small table, throw pillows and a picture!  I will say I am obsessed with my new rug and throw pillows though.  I've never been much of a rug person until now and I can't get over how well it pulls the room together!

I joked with my mom that I wasn't going to ever spend time in my bedroom because it's hideous compared to my living room.  I knew I wanted new bedding and I've been going back and forth on what to get.  Here are my 2 inspiration pics of what I think I want.

My dresser and nightstand are teal and since I'm doing grays and golds in the living room I think this would flow nicely.  That being said I have to get some white bedding.  What do yall think of this?

I think if I got some pretty throw pillows and some colorful sheets it would be pretty.  Yes, no?

Ok enough about home decor.  Sunday was spend cleaning and organizing and doing a little bit of food prep.  Can I just say it feels so nice to be doing food prep again?  Does that make me crazy?
