The Perfect Necklace

It's no secret that I LOVE jewelry.  Anything that adds some sparkle or personality to an outfit is right up my alley.  My idea of a perfect outfit is worn in jeans, a white tee and a bunch of statement pieces.  When I lived in Dallas I got to shop at market every 6 weeks and loved being able to purchase fun new baubles at wholesale prices!  Now a days, it is SO hard for me to pay retail prices but my love affair with pretty things usually wins out.

Last month I mentioned in this post that I was dying for this beauty from Bauble Bar:

My favorite fashion blogger, Courtney Kerr collaborated with Bauble Bar on this necklace in 2013 and I have had a mission to add it to my collection ever since.  I mean, what better piece to pair with a LBD, white tee, and just about anything else in my closet? However, I couldn't bring myself to pay the price (remember my comment about never paying full price for jewelry?).

Imagine my surprise when I saw this box in my mail last week:

I could barely contain my excitement as I ripped open the box!  What on earth could be inside and who on earth made the purchase?

Well, I have one VERY sweet and sneaky mom!  Turns out she remembered reading about Bauble Bar in one of my previous posts.  I smiled from ear to ear when I pulled out this beauty:

Yes folks, she is FINALLY mine!  Excuse the tag but I couldn't wait any longer to try this beauty on!  Mom's exact words were "a perfect necklace for a girl turning 30".  Does she know me or what?!

I can't wait to see all the different ways I can style this necklace.  I think I'll take a few cues from Ms. Kerr herself:
