Why I Have Girl Crush On Someone Named Carly

Like I said yesterday, I went and saw the movie The Other Woman last weekend. The movie was funny and I'll definitely see it again but what caught my attention the most was the clothes!  More importantly, the clothes that Cameron Diaz's character, Carly wears.  I seriously was googling every piece of her wardrobe on the way home.

I learned that Patricia Field (the genius behind Sex and the City's wardrobe) was the costume designer. Well no wonder I loved the clothes, I loved pretty much everything Carrie Bradshaw ever put on her skinny little fabulous frame.

Cameron plays a high powered lawyer, Carly who is as put together as it gets. Her hair is always done, her nails are the perfect shade of red and her accessories are On. Freaking. Point. As she says in the movie "my situation is always situated". Basically she is lady I strive to be in my pretend professional life. Whether she's in the office or at the beach, Carly looks flawless.

Needless to say, I ran out looking for Carly-esque pieces for my wardrobe this weekend. There was this dainty long gold necklace (that I later learned was over $1,000) that I was drooling over.  I think I found a pretty substitute at Express.

Yes, I know she's just in a white t-shrit and jeans but for some reason I have the hardest time finding simple outfits like this that fit me well. Don't even ask me to talk about trying to find good jeans. I am on the hunt for ones that are small enough for my waist while being big enough to fit over my big ol booty.  I found some cute distressed ones at Express but I need some that are work appropriate too!  Anyways I'm off topic. The point is, the slouchy shirt, cuffed jeans, and gold jewels make this outfit the perfect Saturday afternoon look.

This dress was one of my favorite looks from the movie. Hugs in all the right places and seriously, what woman doesn't need a perfect red dress! PS I think I'll be cutting my hair off Wednesday to match good ol Cameron's.

I sometimes wish that I had a job that allowed me to wear dresses like the one above. That navy, gold, and white combo is the perfect look for summertime at the office.

Y'all know I love me a good romper. As soon as Miss Diaz stepped on the scene in this hot little number my jaw literally dropped. Unfortunately, this one is nowhere to be found (and I'm sure I couldn't afford it even if I could find it).

I can only hope that I am this fabulous when I'm preggers. Seriously, how cute it this dress?

This isn't even half of her wardrobe in this movie y'all. And don't even get me started on her accessories. The most perfect pair of Celine sunglasses had me on google for a good couple of hours trying to find the exact pair.  The was another outfit that I couldn't find a picture of anywhere! Just picture a distressed pair of jeans, the cutest stilettos, and a slouchy top. Perfectly understated.
