Well Happy Tuesday yall! Doesn't it feel good to say that instead of Happy Monday? Here's to a short week. I hope everyone had a fabulous Labor Day. I'm going to link up with Miss Biana and tell yall about my weekend.
I flew out Friday to Oklahoma to see some of my fabulous GPhi sisters. There is a group of us that take an annual lake trip to Grand Lake each summer and it is always so much fun. Our group doesn't get to see each other very often so it's a lot of catching up on each other's lives, jobs, significant others, etc.
I got to OKC a little early and go to walk around my old Alma Mater, Oklahoma City University. I got to see the new dance and arts management building, and yes for those who went to OCU, Jo Rowan is still alive and kicking. I saw her teaching a ballet class and yes, she still makes me nervous.
After a stroll around campus and a quick lunch, we headed out for the lake house. We were greeted by this view
Breathtaking right? Sounds a little cheesy but it kinda restored a new sense of faith in me.
We spent Saturday floating, laying out and catching up with each other. We also spent a big chunk of the day eating Corn Crack Dip which I will post the recipe for soon.
A week before the trip I decided to get the ladies a little gift to remember the trip. I hopped on Etsy and found exactly what I wanted on SugarLandInk. These ladies make the cutest gifts for weddings, showers, parties and more! What goes with a lake trip and a bunch of girls? Koozies!

Girl time is so good for the soul - and add a relaxing lake weekend to that and you've got yourself the perfect weekend!! I haven't been back to my alma mater since I graduated (I'll be back in a few weekends) and I'll be just like you, perusing the campus to see what's changed and what's stayed the same!
