Welcome Home

Hi yall!  Well first I have to ask
{via}

Side note, I've been re-watching Pretty Little Liars from the beginning and I am still so confused about this show! If anyone watches and understands what's going on, call me we need to chat!

Sorry I have been MIA but I have been so busy driving, unpacking, repacking and catching up with friends that its been hard to get a post out.  Let me catch yall up.

Friday morning hits and I'm packing up all of my last minute stuff in my car and waiting to go pick up my bestie from the airport.  You know, the one who was supposed to do the 2-day cross country drive with me? I knew as soon as my phone rang that morning that something was wrong.

"My flight's been cancelled!"

We found out that there was a fire at Chicago O'Hare and over 1,000 flights had been cancelled.  American Airlines told her that she could either wait until the next day to leave or she could just go home.  We both agreed that waiting wasn't an option so back to OKC she went.

This is where the big crocodile tears started.  I'm already emotional about leaving Michigan and the last thing I wanted was 15 hours in a car by myself where all I could do is just think.  I wanted my best friend, some good tunes and some adventure and now it wasn't going to happen.  Well sometimes life just doesn't go your way and you have no choice but to

Which is exactly what I did.  Well without the drink part because, you know roadtrip.  As much as I didn't want to do this dang drive on my own I had no choice. So I got on the road.  I can now say I've driven cross country by myself (for whatever that's worth).

Someone's missing from the pic :(

I drove to Missouri on day 1 and it was actually not that bad of a drive.  Driving right by the arch was pretty cool even though I couldn't get a photo.  Driving from Missouri to Texas the next day was a little worse.  If you don't think Oklahoma is a big state, drive through it.  As much as I love OKC I was so ready to be across those state lines that I could barely stand it.  As soon as I saw the sign below, I had big baby tears in my eyes....I was HOME!

Now I just have to find a job and an apartment!  Actually I'm heading home to Odessa today to spend some much needed time with my family and friends.  I'm excited to cook for my parents for the first time in forever!

  2. I watch PLL and can honestly say it's one of the most confusing shows I've ever watched. Next to Lost. LOL! That sucks your friend's flight was cancelled! I heard about that fire causing all sorts of problems :( But at least you made it and like B said, now you're home!!! :)

  3. I have watched PLL from the start like 3 times and I am still confused as well. I'm at least a season behind, so I need to watch again and then we can be confused together. That sucks about your friends flight, but how scary! Better safe than sorry I guess :( So excited for your new adventures, good luck with the job & apartment!

  4. That totally sucks that your friends flight got cancelled!! But I'm glad you had an otherwise pretty good drive. Yay for being home! And as for PLL... I've watched it from the start and it's so dang hard to keep up. They have like 80 story lines going on at one time!

  5. I've done quite a few cross country road trips and Oklahoma is, in my opinion, the worst state to drive through. I've always had a friend with me though, so I imagine I fared better than you, you poor thing! At least you made it safely, enjoy spending time with friends and family!
